| How to Play |
The purpose of Action Pack Dog Center's Dog Daycare Program is to provide a safe, fun, and stimulating social environment for your dog during weekday hours. To ensure the safety and health of your pet, and our guests, we request that you comply with the following: |
| Age: |
All dogs must be 16 weeks of age or older. |
| Spay/Neuter: |
All dogs over 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered. |
| Vaccines: |
All dogs must have current vaccinations on file with Action Pack Dog Center. This includes Rabies (by 6 months of age), Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella. |
| Health: |
All dogs must be in good health and on a flea & tick preventative during warmer months. Owners will need to certify that their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. Dogs who have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require a veterinarian's certification of health to be admitted or re-admitted. On admission or re-admission, all dogs must be free from any condition that could potentially jeopardize other guests. |
| Behavior: |
All dogs must be non-aggressive towards both people and dogs. Please remember that your dog will be spending time with other dogs and that their safety and health is our main concern. Private training is available to help if needed (please ask). |
| Admission Requirements: |
Action Pack Dog Center requires that all daycare dogs pass a temperament evaluation to ensure that they are comfortable, friendly and accepting of humans and other dogs. After all, they're here to play. It is necessary that dogs are not aggressive, toy or food possessive, territorial, or overly shy or timid.
During the temperament evaluation, your dog will be evaluated on his or her general disposition, human handling, and dog interaction. All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date, and approved application on file at all times. There is a $20 non-refundable fee for the initial consultation and screening appointment. |
| The Process: |
Before a dog comes to play:
| 1. |
Call for an interview |
| 2. |
Complete the Temperament Evaluation paperwork (found on the FORMS page of our website) and have your vet fax records of vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella). Our fax number is 512-341-9461. |
| 3. |
Schedule an appointment for the initial consultation and screening visit. At this appointment we will review your application, read and sign additional paperwork, and complete initial screening with your dog. This consultation and screening visit requires a $20 fee. |
| 4. |
Make a reservation for your dog's first day of daycare. |
|
| Minimum Commitment: |
At Action Pack Dog Center, we provide the best environment for your dog to socialize and feel safe. Our playful environment is a result of dogs getting to know each other during repeated visits. This occurs by reducing the stress of meeting new and unfamiliar dogs every day, no different from the increased comfort level you feel once you become more familiar with new friends. To ensure this, we ask that you make an initial eight-week commitment to the same day or days each week. |
